Soprano soloist

Phoenix PRIME returns for music, drinks, and a big Phoenix first as we’re joined by soprano soloist Helen Zhibing Huang to tackle the music of Gustav Mahler, who is known for his epic symphonic journeys.

This program at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in Seaport pairs Mahler’s most gentle work, his Fourth Symphony (arranged for chamber orchestra by Iain Farrington), with music by Franz Schreker, a highly underrated contemporary of Mahler whose career was cut short by the rise of the Nazi power.
